Auer Signal has been ISO 9001 certified for more than 20 years. With the first ISO certification in 1999, Auer Signal received the ISO 9001:1994 certificate. The decision for an ISO certification was accompanied by the implementation of a Quality Management System (QMS). From the very beginning, we at Auer Signal have always strived to optimize our processes in order to meet customer requirements in the best possible way.
In March 2021, Auer Signal successfully passed the re-certification audit for the seventh time in a row. The current ISO 9001:2015 certificate is valid for the next three years.
DIN EN ISO 9001 is an international standard for Quality Management Systems and was developed by ISO (International Organization for Standardization). Companies with an ISO 9001 certified Quality Management System work on the continuous improvement and optimization of their processes, with a special focus on increasing customer satisfaction.
The ISO 9001 structure consists of ten sections, the last seven of which define the included quality management requirements. Every ISO 9001 certified Quality Management System must comply with the defined requirements and rules of the standard.
Ten ISO 9001 clauses:
An ISO 9001 certified Quality Management System confirms that customer requirements and legal requirements for products and services are fulfilled in the respective company. Successful certification also confirms that customer satisfaction is continuously being increased.
ISO 9001 certified companies can therefore prove the compliance with the ISO 9001 standard in the company with the valid ISO certificate. The currently valid ISO certificate is ISO 9001:2015.
ISO 9001 audits and certifications are carried out by an independent, accredited organization (e.g. Quality Austria). The requirement for ISO 9001 certification is an implemented Quality Management System. During an ISO 9001 audit, an auditor examines the documentation as well as the procedures and processes in the company on site. These audits, which last several days, compare the conformity of the ISO 9001 requirements with the actual conditions implemented in the company. If there are no serious deviations from the standard, the certification body issues the ISO 9001 certificate, which is valid for three years. A re-certification audit must take place every three years. In addition to the re-certification audits, annual surveillance visits take place. The surveillance visits pay less attention to the documentation but far more attention to the daily key processes and how improvements progress.
Auer Signal has now successfully passed this year's re-certification audit for the seventh time in a row. We, at Auer Signal, have thus confirmed since 1999 that the requirements of the internationally recognized ISO 9001 standard have been implemented in our company and are constantly being further developed. This makes us a qualified partner for successful projects and long-term cooperation.
